The Hair Ball was started in 2005 by a group of friends who cherished
their own pets, but were also concerned with the fate of shelter and
free-roaming animals.
To combat pet overpopulation and subsequent euthanasia, the Hair Ball
Committee hosted an afternoon of music, fabulous food, and a silent
auction to raise needed funds for spay/neuter surgeries. We’ve been
repeating and growing the event ever since.
Here are our results to-date:
Once again, volunteers have come together to plan Hair Ball 2009. Members
of the Hair Ball Committee include: Kristin
Brier, Chris Calvin, Cyndi Cardenas, Sarah Jonker, Joe Loughmiller,
Flo Ann Nelson, Angela Nitka, Cheri Storms, Darci Valentine, Lisa Wagoner,
and Lauren Walters.
