Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana, Inc. was formed in 1977 to spay/neuter animals to reduce pet overpopulation and the subsequent tragedies that come with being an unwanted animal. SNSI facilitates a statewide Spay-Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) that provides low-cost spay/neuter surgeries to limited-income pet owners. Through the SNAP program, clients pay just $20 per surgery, with SNSI paying the remaining cost. SNSI also provides free spay/neuter surgery certificates to 501(c)(3) animal welfare organizations and municipal shelters.
To keep our costs low, SNSI partners with low-cost clinics and veterinarians who graciously agree to do a certain number of low-cost surgeries. SNSI remains a predominantly volunteer organization that is funded by donations, fund raisers, grants, revenue of the Pet Friendly license plate.
